I Nearly Walked Away from Everything I Built

There was a moment—not that long ago—when I looked at everything I had built and asked myself a brutal question:

“Is this even working?”

I had the vision. The drive. The passion.
But despite all the late nights, strategy sessions, and sheer grit—I was exhausted.
Not just tired… mentally, emotionally, spiritually depleted.

Because here's the truth most people won’t say out loud:

You can do everything “right” and still feel stuck.

You can build the dream—and still feel like you’re spinning.
You can help others win while quietly wondering if you’re losing.

That’s where I was.

And I nearly walked away from all of it.

The most ironic part? I had created BOSS Academy in 2014 for this very reason—to help entrepreneurs who felt overwhelmed, stuck, and ready to give up. I had built a community that existed to solve this problem… but I wasn’t taking my own advice. I was the leader, but it was time to follow and get the support I had readily available. 

Two teens, a relationship that required attention, client pressure, multiple projects, health hurdles and the loss of some important people in my life had me swirling. 

I kept trying to push through on my own. Kept wearing the weight of it all.
Until I finally did the one thing I was encouraging others to do:

I leaned into the community.

I opened up. I asked for help. I stopped pretending I had to figure it all out solo. And slowly, things began to shift.

That’s the power of BOSS Academy. It’s not just content. It’s not just coaching.
